If you are unable to obtain an ID Card at the Donaldson Center this is the next choice:

I85 to exit 19B, go about 3 miles, turn right on Country Club Dr (next to Denny's) Country Club dead ends, turn left and Armory on right. Go in the front door and it’s the first office on right in center hall.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Members, Please Keep Lavern T in your prayers as she undergoes surgery for a biopsy. She will need your continued prayers as she works through the cancer treatments she will be undergoing for the next several months. Laverne has played an active role in our Chapter and has been an outstanding supporter of MOAA. Laverne is a tough and determined lady. She will be in our thoughts and prayers.

 

Charles S. is also not doing well and Mary Ellen has asked that we also keep him in our prayers.

The Senate health care bill will pass IF the Cloture vote passes.  That means that the Senate needs 60 votes to cut off debate--cloture. 

If they fall short by even ONE vote, each part of the bill could be debated by the Republicans and it would need 60 votes to stop each debate. 

Consequently, the Republicans could force this into eternity.

The Hugh Hewitt blog has eight key Senators who are in conservative districts who MUST be told that we don't want their health care plan.

Before this vote takes place go viral with this email to those who don't want government care. 

If enough people send emails to these people (like Webb in VA), this will come to a grinding stop. 

There are plans to make amendments to the bill even after it is passed.
